Happy New Year to You! What a perfect way to start out the New Year- implementing our running club. The plan is to keep it simple at first and then adjust our schedule and needs, as needed. It will be a combined group effort finding what works and what doesn’t. J
As for now, we have planned 2 scheduled runs a month where we meet at Image Total Fitness Studio, run and return to the gym for either snacks (yay!), other running related exercises and/or running talk. The extras after the run are not mandatory, just a fun way to keep us motivated.
For the weekends that we do not have scheduled runs, you can meet on your own as a group, pair, etc. and decide what your workout will be. That can be decided the week prior or it is up to you if you want to call a running buddy.
PC Cross Country Coach Paula Wurst has graciously offered her assistance to the Running Club Members to “help us out” as we run. She is an excellent tool for running success and she is just such an awesome lady. I am sure we will all have lots of questions for coach.
RUNNING LOGS- Not mandatory, but encouraged. Club runners can track their daily/ weekly mileage with running logs. Logs will be due at the end of March. For those who faithfully track their progress….there will be prizes!
The back side of this page will list the scheduled runs for January and February 2009.

Below are our scheduled runs for January and February. We will reevaluate in March. Plus, with the warmer months, we could possibly add more scheduled running dates.
RUN CLUB RUN DATES
Meet at the Image Total Fitness Studio at 8:00 AM
JANUARY
Saturday, January 17th- Full 4 mile or 3 mile outskirts of Grant
Saturday, January 31st- Taking it to the country 4 or 6 mile section
FEBRUARY
Saturday, February 14th- 3 Mile Outskirt, (plus “The Hill” if you desire)
Saturday, February 28th- 4, 5 or 6 Mile Section
REMEMBER TO FILL OUT YOUR RUNNING LOG- Track your daily/ weekly mileage. Logs will be due at the end of March. And remember, those who faithfully track their progress….prizes for you!
